The creators of a new smartphone app say it will ensure Northern Ireland’s motorists are kept “road legal and compliant” at all times.
The free vehicle management feature has been created by charity Road Safe NI in partnership with Pocket Box and is designed to store required paperwork and provide helpful reminders of key dates, such as insurance renewal and annual servicing.
The app allows motorists to digitally upload or scan all the necessary paperwork for a vehicle – such as MOT, road tax, insurance, warranty, servicing and finance – so they are conveniently organised and accessible in one place.
“In today’s modern world we are all leading increasingly busy lives and it often slips our minds when certain vehicle requirements are due,” says Davy Jackson, Chair of Road Safe NI.
“With this app, there is no longer a need to trawl through cupboards and drawers to locate vehicle documents and determine when key renewal dates are approaching.
“It is free and simple to use, so we are encouraging all motorists to download it to help them ensure they are driving legally by storing important details and receiving timely alerts.”
Jackson added that when driving elsewhere in Europe, the app ensures important documentation is close at hand, with all uploaded data fully encrypted and stored with security protocols on a par with online banking systems.

Road Safe NI is a charity that aims to save lives and reduce the effects caused by road fatalities and injuries through education, awareness raising and grass roots initiatives.
